Welcome to My Blog!

You might be asking--who the heck are you and why are you adding to the millions of blogs that are already out there?  Well, those are very good questions--I'll start with the basics.  

My name is Nicole Silva, and I am a registered dietitian.  Until recently, I was a clinical nutritionist, working in a hospital.  That is until I had my daughter four months ago.  Now I'm a full-time Mom--which is a job in itself.  But I love nutrition and fitness and really miss talking to people about the latest and greatest tips to help master the never-ending battle of the bulge.  So I realized that this blog could be the answer to all of our problems (well maybe not ALL of our problems) -- but it’s a start!  

Friends and family are always asking me for the quick fix--whether it is how to lose weight without dieting or what is the best food to make you as healthy as possible--the questions are endless!  I may not have all the answers but I do know one thing and it is a really big secret--are you ready for it?  Here goes…

There is no secret!!!  Losing weight and leading a healthy lifestyle is hard work and there is no way around it--except for those lucky few--and I mean few--that can eat anything and everything without moving an inch or gaining a pound.  For the rest of us--it's a daily battle--one that can undoubtedly be won with just a little bit of knowledge!  

Starting November 2nd this blog will be up and going.  On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I will review my favorite new grocery store finds, provide helpful weight loss or workout tips and fill you in not only on why certain foods are so good for you but also why some foods are just plain awful!
